Sr Associate Software Engineering

Job Description :Overall Purpose:We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with hands-on experience in Java and Perl to contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support. This role demands a well-rounded developer proficient in both backend and frontend technologies, with a strong focus on automation, quality, and collaborative teamwork in an Agile environment.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, architects, and QA to gather and review software requirements and user stories.Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable and high-performance software applications.Develop backend services primarily using Java and Perl, ensuring clean, reusable, and efficient code.Build and enhance frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.Create and execute automated test plans and strategies (unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing).Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including configuration and environment-related problems.Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines.Optimize application performance, monitor production environments, and support incident resolution.Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices; proactively propose improvements.Ensure adherence to security policies, compliance standards, and coding best practices.Primary / Mandatory Skills:Strong hands-on experience in Java and Perl development.Solid experience working in Agile software development environments.Proficient in frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Node.js.Experience with RESTful API development and integration.Skilled in database technologies including Oracle, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.Familiarity with scripting languages like Unix Shell Scripting and PL/SQL.Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.Proficient in software development lifecycle (SDLC) phases: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code and applications.Additional Desired Skills:Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines, e.g., Jenkins, Git, and automated testing frameworks.Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven design.Understanding of application security best practices and tools.Experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools.Overall Experience:2 to 4 years of relevant experience in full stack development with a focus on Java and Perl.Education:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.Supervisory Responsibility:None.Weekly Hours:40Time Type:RegularLocation:IND:AP:Hyderabad / Argus Bldg 4f & 5f, Sattva, Knowledge City- Adm: Argus Building, Sattva, Knowledge CityIt is the policy of AT&T to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
