Teacher/Caregiver – Little LearnersThe City of Peoria seeks to hire a Teacher/Caregiver in the Neighborhood and Human Services department. This position is for the Little Learners Program, located at the Sunrise Family Center. This program is licensed by the Department of Health Services for students 3½ - 5 years of age. This is an excellent opportunity for a childcare provider to collaborate with school personnel to develop a growing program. This position will supervise and monitor children and actively participate with them through play and staff-led enrichment, such as: literacy, arts and crafts, and STEAM projects. If you have a passion for working with children, this job is for youThe hiring rate for this position is: $16.72/hr. The full pay range for this position is: $16.72-$20.90. The ideal candidate for this position will have: The ability to be a results-oriented, people person who is 16 years or older and loves working with children.The ability to implement the execution of an activity, event or program with some direction.The ability to supervise and monitor children in your care by actively participating with them.The ability to enjoy a fast-paced schedule and the opportunity to make a difference. **ALL employees are required to work the July 4th Special event in the summer.This list is intended for benefitted position and benefits are subject to change.
