Description TEMPORARY/FULL TIME (12 WEEKS) REGISTERED COUNSELOR OPPORTUNITY- CA Position Overview:Counselor will be responsible for offering support and assistance to patients enrolled in Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorder. Utilizing evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach, the counselor will help patients develop individualized coping techniques and symptom management skills that enable then to experience improved quality of life. Through collaboration with doctors, nurses and a multidisciplinary team, the counselor will play a vital role in evaluating patient progress and developing an individualized plan of care. Responsibilities:Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices and state regulations; coordinate all services throughout treatment.Conducts initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services.Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment.Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated.Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints.Develop aftercare and discharge plans.Other related duties as determined by supervisor.Qualifications:Registered Counselor in the State of California. Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus. Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.Salary Range:Salary ranges from $25.13 to $26.13 an hour.The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.Qualified Full-Time Employees receive:401K Retirement PlanAccrued Sick TimeCandidate Referral ProgramBereavement LeaveJury Duty & Witness Duty LeaveBayMark University LearningTotal compensation goes beyond the value on the paycheck.
