Job Summary:

Professionally direct, design, support, and implement all Xanterra at Glacier NP and Cedar Creek Lodge related functions to include (but not limited to): preventative maintenance program, historic preservation program, CMMS program, maintenance plan, construction program, financial plan, and regulatory compliance maintaining alignment with Xanterra's Mission Statement and Values.

Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week. May include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Plan, develop and implement procedures for all facilities under Xanterra responsibility for maintenance and repair operations and construction. Implement and maintain preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime of equipment and reduce costly consequences of equipment loss, guest service interruption, and crisis management. Oversight of the company's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), EAM. Develop, coordinate, and adhere to annual and five year maintenance plan and construction programs in agreement with the National Park Service as defined within the concessions contract. Professionally draft Project Statements, Contracts, RFP's, RFI's, and other required correspondence in coordination with Xanterra legal counsel and NPS related to project development and execution. Prepare bid packages for bidding of equipment, supplies, and materials for projects in compliance with Xanterra policies. Coordinate with General Manager and Controller to develop and execute the annual financial plan for the Engineering Department. Craft the annual and three-year capital expenditure plan for company projects, and coordinate with the General Manager and Controller. Direct and manage maintenance and repair operations, engineering and construction management activities, and support and supervise the staff involved in these activities. Plan and implement opening/closing and operation activities for all assigned facilities inside Glacier National Park, and for those outside of the park which are company assets. Recruit and build a strong team of up to 13 parkwide or full time staff and 20 seasonal field staff. Coordinate Engineering activities with Xanterra General Manager and Department Directors. Assist Director, Risk and Sustainability, in the reporting, cleaning, oversight and prevention of spills or environmental hazards. Assist with the coordination of storage and collection of regulated materials from within Glacier. Assist with identification and mitigation of pest management within the park. Coordinate with Director, Risk and Sustainability, on oversight and maintenance of all fire systems within the park. Assist with compiling, evaluating, and disseminating all NPS-generated Condition Assessment deficiencies, Environmental Audits, and NPS Inspections for timely completion and documentation. Cultivate and maintain an excellent professional working relationship with National Park Service (NPS) personnel and agencies, professional services, outside contractors, vendors, and Xanterra Directors and Support Departments. Incorporate Continual Operational Improvement and best environmental practices into management of departmental responsibilities and planning of future projects. Maintain and improve upon current written policies for ensuring the safe operation of facilities and equipment owned or assigned to Xanterra and for the health and safety of Engineering/Maintenance employees. Track and develop employee development within the Engineering Department including all appropriate and contractually required training classes/programs for Engineering staff. Develop and maintain the training program to ensure safety, contractual and regulatory obligations with the assistance of Risk Management. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Preferred candidate will have:B.S./B.A. degree in engineering or related Engineering discipline, Facilities Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology or Seven (7) to ten (10) years of professional equivalent managerial/supervisory level experience. Experience in the creation and management of the financial plan for the Engineering Department. Experience working with OSHA/Federal Government safety requirements. LEED AP Accreditation/Green Build experience preferred Prepare and manage construction management program. Comply with all current related safety and health requirements. Able to read, understand and comply with all current Xanterra, NPS and associated Federal and State regulatory requirements, policies and procedures. Must possess a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements include:

Must possess physical stamina and condition to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment. Must be capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to work in a higher altitude environment. Ability to climb stairs and ladders, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Ability to kneel or lay flat on the ground to inspect equipment. Ability to walk on uneven terrain, including icy and snow covered areas Must be willing to provide shift coverage on location, including requirement to stay overnight on location for a determined period of time. Ability to work a variety of shifts including on call, holidays, weekends, evenings, and graveyard shifts (between 10pm and 6am) as necessary.
