We are seeking candidates for the role of Barista who can provide a warm, friendly, cheerful & genuine experience to all our guests by delivering exceptional service and world-class hospitality to every guest, every time.Daily Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Arrive to work on time, dressed in full uniformFollow Dress for Success opening and closing Cashier proceduresCount bank before and after serviceAttend pre-shift meetingsAnswer phone in friendly and courteous manner following Sterling's phone etiquette guidelinesMake sure cash is in drawer prior to opening and that you are fully ready for your first guestAlways greet the Guest in warm and welcoming mannerMake coffees to order, put out condiments, cream, etc. for breakfast. Make sure trays, plastic ware, napkins are set outMaintain all temperature logs and cooler/freezer temperature logs that are assignedProperly ring menu items into POS systemComplete sales transaction by collecting payment; only accepts approved methods of payment; properly counts money and provides accurate change when applicableMaintain beverage station and condiments. Refill plastic wares, trays, etc.Make sure signage is properly displayed and correct for breakfast and lunch serviceClean cashier station, beverage station and dining room tables. Follow cleaning scheduleFollow Dress for Success procedures to prepare for the following day's openingMake sure all beverage coolers, cereal displays, snack items, chips and “Up for Grabs” items are stocked and fronted before close of shiftKeep cashier station, drink station and condiment areas neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used such as coffee and drink dispensersAssist the “back of the house” with any cleaning, mopping or closing tasks that may be necessaryCheck out with Manager on Duty before clocking outYou may be scheduled for additional hours based on the client needs and catering needsComply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standardsFollow proper food storage guidelines where applicable; label, date and rotate items when requiredMust maintain skills necessary to safely and efficiently operate the following equipment and machines used in the performance of this job including, but not limited to: POS system, telephone, coffee / tea machineFollow Sterling Culinary Management Cash Handling ProceduresPreferred Qualifications:1 year of high volume Barista experience1 year of customer service or food service industry experienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentEarly availability Monday-Friday beginning at 5:30amReasons to join our team include:No Weekends, Nights or HolidaysPaid VacationMedical, Vision, Dental InsuranceShift Meals and Uniforms ProvidedSterling Culinary Management is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, gender, sex, ancestry, citizenship status, mental or physical disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, veteran status, or military status.PI90cbb5e994ff-30511-39198147
