Senior Project ManagerWilmington, DEMonday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pmHybrid (three days in the office and two days will be work from home) The Senior Project Manager has extensive understanding of project management principles, methods and techniques. This role is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units and has the authority to run the project independently and with minimal supervision on a day-to-day basis. The Project Manager verifies that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.Some of the things you will be doing: Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneouslyPrepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the projectHelp define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycleMonitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverablesManage project scope and changesManage project issues and risks to mitigate impact to baselineManage day-to-day testing activities, resource allocation, escalating and resolving software defectsManage Project releases and be able to collaborate with PMO to contribute to department release calendarsCreate metrics showing progress against the product roadmap and support activities through means of dashboards and KPI reportingSupport and manage Finance month and quarter end activitiesIdentify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project stakeholdersManage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetingsProvide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues and communicating to PMODevelop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements and charter documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, project sponsors and key stakeholdersWilling and able to understand interdependencies between technology, finance and other business needs and demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practicesReport on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activitiesProvide necessary support to PMO to manage Finance Project portfolio and intake of new projects.Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organizationParticipate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholdersProvide onsite leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestonesProactively identify areas where assistance is required for PM related skills and capabilities and fill the gaps through means that include trainingWhat technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?PMP, CSM certified. ITIL highly desirableExperience managing ERP ProjectsBachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experienceGood experience in Agile and Scrum. 10+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects10+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment10+ years of previous experience with gathering requirements from the client / business and documentationExperience with Smartsheet, VersionOne, Kanban boards is highly desirableIntermediate level of proficiency with Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership.
