We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. **Job Summary:**The Prep Cook will assist the kitchen staff in preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards. This role is essential in supporting our chefs and cooks in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Ingredient Preparation:** Wash, chop, slice, and dice vegetables; prepare sauces, marinades, and dressings; and portion proteins as directed by the chef.- **Kitchen Organization:** Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including proper storage of food items and supplies.- **Equipment Handling:** Safely operate kitchen equipment such as knives, food processors, and mixers, adhering to safety protocols at all times.- **Inventory Management:** Assist in the receiving and storage of food deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of inventory and minimizing food waste.- **Support Cooking Staff:** Assist cooks and chefs in food preparation during service, including expediting and plating dishes as needed.- **Sanitation Compliance:** Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.- **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service. **Qualifications:** - Previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred, but not required.- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.- Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.- Positive attitude and team player mentality. **Benefits:** - Competitive hourly wage - Employee perks- Opportunities for career advancement - [Additional benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, etc.] **How to Apply:**Interested candidates should submit their resume and a brief cover letter to Indeed.
