The UNC Department of Family Medicine seeks a clinician-scientist with a scholarly focus on tobacco use and cessation. As a faculty physician in family medicine, you will be an integral part of the department's success. As a faculty clinician, you will provide patient care in one of our Family Medicine Centers, based on applicant interest and department need, with FTE determined with the fair and standard allocation of FTE credit applied to all faculty. As a faculty researcher, you will demonstrate the capacity for high-quality research and leadership, and will be expected to publish in top-tier academic/medical journals. Securing grant funding is expected. Faculty rank and salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus excellent UNC faculty physician benefits and incentive pay. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements MD or DO required. Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Fellowship training and/or an advanced degree MPH) is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
