About The Job

The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator and collaborator who has the ability to work with multiple internal organizations to drive important projects. Must be highly organized and professional. The successful candidate will run the PM process in within the IT department, including project request and intake, requirements collection, presenting the project for approval, project document creation, status tracking, holding resources accountable, and seeing projects through to completion.

What You Will Do

Manage IT projects from concept to final acceptance.Create project charters, project plans, and work breakdown structures by collaborating with the project requestor, IT senior management, and the development team.Assist project requestors with creating project requests, including description, high level requirements, and justification/ROI.Hold internal project meetings to drive project completion and maintain schedules.Update schedules as needed and inform all stakeholders of project status, including date changes, cost changes, risk changes, or other issues affecting project completion and/or success.Create mitigation plans (add resources, change resources, outsource professional services, etc.) if projects miss milestone achievements, and negotiate new timelines when necessary.Interface with PMO staff to collaborate on project requests, project approvals, project planning, execution, status updates, and project realization.Create monthly status reports, including departmental metrics.

What You Need

Minimum 3 years' experience working as a member of a project team/project manager.Must be an excellent communicator and collaborator.Must have excellent soft skills and able to negotiate desirable/acceptable outcomes.Must have excellent organizational skills and must be able to handle multiple projects at the same time.Must be able to work with people in all positions in an organization – from the CEO down to individual contributors.Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.Must have the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Preferred Characteristics

Bachelor's Degree in IT, project management, engineering, or manufacturing preferred.PM Certificate preferred – Project+, PMP, MPM, CPM, CSM, or other major certification.Prefer IT experience or engineering experience.

Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $45.00 hr. - $50.00 hr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.
