Join us at Andersen, and together, let's write the story of your success The Role Tax Services Associates serve as members of various client service teams. Associates receive both formal and on-the-job training to hone and develop their technical skills. In addition to the preparation of tax returns, Associates also participate in the tax planning and consultation process for clients. Associates will work as part of a team of problem solvers with vast consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve complex business issues. Tax Associate responsibilities include: Researching tax laws, rules, and regulations and analyzing their application to specific situations resulting in drafting memorandums to defend decisions and/or outlining solutions to those issues Participating in select phases of tax compliance engagements Proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback Supporting select projects demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative while working as a team member Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while exercising professional skepticism Compensation and Benefits Our firm offers competitive base compensation, benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in Seattle, the expected salary range for this role is $72,500 to $80,340; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications. Benefits: Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our firm’s 401(k) plan upon hire. We offer paid time off, beginning at 160 hours annually and provides twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. For a full listing of benefit offerings, please visit .  Compensation: In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance, a discretionary long-term cash incentive program, and other forms of discretionary compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range scale. The Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree A minimum GPA of 3.0 Strong leadership, multitasking and organizational skills Self-starter with initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal skills Proactive and has the ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management through both written and verbal communication Preferred Applicant Qualifications: An advanced degree in either Accounting (MAcc), Masters in Tax, JD, LLM or CPA eligible Relevant tax experience is not required. But preferred candidates have a desire to work in the tax industry Prior to starting full-time, it is preferred that students will be eligible to sit for the primary credential exam appropriate for relevant practice area, such as having 150 credits hours to sit for the CPA exam in certain states.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire.
