Title: AV Design Engineer Reports to: Director of Engineering Coordinates with: Sales, Project Management, Architects Purpose and Scope: The AV Design Engineer is responsible for the design aspects of the customer’s job, including development design, layout, and various audio/visual specifications. Our Engineers help our clients bring their ideas for their spaces to life and help our company run in the most efficient manner possible. Primary Responsibilities: Design digital spaces based on Client requirementsClient scope and sales interface and walk through resourceDetermine infrastructure requirements to support the designsPre-Build: Set up, configure, test, and support all audio and video systems in houseTroubleshoot audio / video performance issues and maintain diagrams and documentationProvide extraordinary technical and/or analytic support in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems of moderate to complex business communication systemsDevelop standards and maintain all systems, applications, and configurationsPerform other duties as required or assigned by management Education & Skills: High School DiplomaBachelor's degree Electrical Engineering or AV a Plus2+ years' experience in AV EngineeringGood working knowledge of audio-visual products from major manufacturersProficiency control system design regarding control logic development and touch panel design and layoutProficiency with modern digital signal processors regarding DSP configuration.Experience in D-Tools SI a plus2+ years’ Visio and Cad experience You will know you are a good fit for our culture if you enjoy contributing valuable input, can roll with the punches and keep a good sense of humor with your coworkers, and maintain a drive to set and exceed clients’ expectations.
