New tutors go through paid training to provide them with extensive knowledge of both the SAT and ACT, as well as pedagogical strategies to help tutor different types of students.
We also provide regular supplemental training to help tutors stay aware of changes to both tests and pedagogy.
Applerouth tutors believe students are more than a score.
That's why we keep our focus fixed on building better learners for life. We expect applicants to have the following: Empathy, Creativity, Strong communication skills, and a desire to help others.
Tutors create custom lesson plans using industry-leading materials and prep weekly, leading up to the student's target test date(s).
Requirements SAT, ACT, or other standardized test scores.
At least one year of College.
Access to reliable transportation.
Most sessions will occur in students' homes or a mutually amenable location.
High-speed internet.
Prior tutoring/teaching experience is a plus
