The Line Cook/Prep Cook is able to proficiently cook recipes at each of five stations as well as prep all ingredients. Food safety and ServSafe procedures are of the utmost importance and each Line Cook is very familiar with these regulations. This team member maintains a great attitude during stressful, busy kitchen shifts as well as assisting fellow line cooks and Kitchen Manager as they are able. Great service, great attitude, and great team work are key traits of this employee. Open availability on weekends is mandatory for this position.Job activities:Set up and stock stations with all necessary suppliesPrepare food for serviceCook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staffClean up station and kitchenStock inventory appropriatelyEnsure that food comes out at high quality and in a timely fashionComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standardsMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customersComplete Temperature Logs and Checklists for daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance tasksParticipate in all roles in the kitchen as required, including as dishwasher when neededProven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef/prep cook * Familiarity and fluency in kitchen terminology * Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, procedures, and equipment * Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks * Familiar with industry best practices * Willingness to pursue ServSafe certification is a plus
