We specialize in large equipment repair, custom fabrication, heavy machining, and mechanical rebuilds for a wide variety of industries including mining, aggregate, power generation, and construction.Position Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fitter/Welder to join our fabrication team. This position is responsible for accurately fitting and welding complex fabrications and assemblies based on blueprints and technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy industrial welding and fabrication work and a commitment to safety, quality, and craftsmanship.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all safety procedures are followed, and the proper PPE is in placeInterpret blueprints, weld symbols, and proceduresUse grinders, torches, saws and other fabrication tools to prepare parts for fit-upTack weld assemblies and measure to ensure dimensional accuracyFinal weld parts in all postures and positions.Perform First Article Inspections.Troubleshoot and resolve problems with fit up as they occurQualificationsMust have knowledge in rigging and crane safetyMinimum of 5 years' experience with Mig, Tig, and Oxy-Fuel torchMust have strong attention to detailFamiliarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprintsAbility to work independently and closely follow directions is essentialMust have a positive and professional attitudeAvailable to work weekends and overtimeCapable of standing for extended periods of timeNon-ferrous welding experience is a plus
