The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations and benefits. The HR Generalist collaborates with HR staff to the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office run smoothly and efficiently to ensure the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs.  Essential FunctionsManages new employee onboarding and orientation. Custom HRIS reports as needed.Audits HRIS data entry and provides backup support as needed.Assists in the day-to-day administration of benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability and retirement plans. Maintains regular communication with employees to include employee counseling as directed by HR Manager.Conducts post new hire check-ins and updates HR Manager and Group managers.Conducts exit interviews.Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.Other duties as assigned. CompetenciesGeneral knowledge of employment laws and practices.Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.Superb organizational and time management skills to include meticulous attention to detailMust be able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlinesOutstanding attendance and punctualityTeamwork capacity to include ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in the department and the organization in generalMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with policy and proceduresExcellent written and verbal communication skills; researching/problem-solving skillsExcellent client service skills and the ability to promote and maintain a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organizationAbility to use logic and reasoning to understand, analyze, and evaluate situations and exercise good judgment to make appropriate decisions Preferred Education and ExperienceMinimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development or equivalent. Masters degree preferred.Three to five plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Experience with a variety of office equipmentMust have a valid driver’s license and clean driving recordMust pass criminal background check#IND-LP
