Join us and be part of a team that has a people first mentality and a dedication to excellence.Responsibilities:Network engineers are responsible for selecting and configuring hardware to meet requirements, designing a network solution to meet range needs and the security and performance needs for each site. Network engineers directly support all engineering disciplines to include design of an upgraded Communications Subsystem (CMSS) architecture for the Western Range, allocation of CMSS network requirements, test preparation, and test execution of the upgraded CMSS. Network engineers support acceptance and performance testing of the solution and help to configure and maintain the Network Management System (NMS). Network engineers will work closely with the Cybersecurity team to ensure that the network is configured and hardened to meet security needs.Participate in cross-functional customer facing integrated product teams (IPT).Support Range Deployment Team to configure facilities for developmental testing.Support Cybersecurity team to ensure network is hardened to meet security needs.Support Program Management Office (PMO) in estimating, reporting, and planning network engineering tasks.Participate in Risk Management Boards (RMB) and identify network design risks.Required:Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, Networking, Telecommunications, or related field5+ Years experienceMust have a current SECRET clearanceUS citizenshipDesired:Experience configuring, integrating, performance tuning, and testing an IPv4/IPv6 networkWorking knowledge of various Cisco, Juniper, and Palo-Alto devices and implementationsExperience with Firewall implementation and configurationExperience performing network engineering on a Government/DoD projectExperience with system hardening to RMF specificationsExperience with network accreditationExperience working on VandenbergCANDIDATES MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE TO BE CONSIDEREDThe proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is $165/hr. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
