Meaningful work Supportive environment Excellent benefits Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work - since 2012 Details: Full-time Weekdays, business hours JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the Health Information Services Customer Service Team, the CSR will process requests for medical information from patients, facilities/healthcare providers, and assist with medical records requests from 3rd party payers. The CSR is responsible for completing multiple tasks throughout the department to support patient care communications, maintain efficient workflow, and high level of customer service. QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate or equivalent. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Excellent customer services skills. Basic computer knowledge, with previous data entry experience. Ability to type 40 wpm. Ability to handle stressful situations in a professional and compassionate manner. Previous experience in a customer service role required. Experience in a medical environment (Health Information and/or Physician Office), preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to extensively utilize telephone for communication. Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections. Able to speak clearly and distinctly with staff, patients, and families. Able to bend, stretch, and reach as necessary to file. Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare and read documents accurately. Demonstrates adequate stamina to deal with stressful situations and to complete the necessary work schedule. Possess fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to manage office equipment.
