JOB DESCRIPTION JOB SUMMARYLocation: Hill Country Clinic Float Department: Clinic Float Schedule: Full Time (Monday-Friday, 8AM- 5 PM or 7 AM – 4 PM. s)  Hill Country Clinic Float team is a diverse team that floats throughout the Hill Country Clinics. Our lab techs work in large outpatient labs, single lab tech clinics, and other various clinic lab settings. This team member must be willing to travel, have reliable transportation and be flexible and willing to jump in where needed. Prior phlebotomy experience is required but we will take a new lab tech who has completed a phlebotomy program recently. Our area of greatest need now is Including but not limited to, Marble Falls, Llano, San Saba, Leander, Cedar Park, Lago Vista, Johnson City, Kingsland.The Lab Tech 1 performs routine laboratory duties utilizing established protocol and procedures under supervision. Specific duties may vary by area assigned.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLEConducts routine laboratory procedures where the range of possible errors is limited.Sorts, labels and records patient specimens. Set up specimen, material and equipment in preparation for Medical Technologist to perform test.Operates centrifuge, simplex timers, cell washer and other Laboratory equipment in completing assigned duties.Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.Maintains effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities.KEY SUCCESS FACTORSAbility to comprehend and communicate instructions.Skill in the use of computers and related software applications.Knowledge of safety and infection control standards.Ability to work in a team environment.BENEFITSOur competitive benefits package includes the following- Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits- 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5%- Tuition Reimbursement- PTO accrual beginning Day 1Note: Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level QUALIFICATIONS- EDUCATION - Diploma/GED Equivalent- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
