Apply Now through Indeed or at: https://ampersandtherapy.com/apply-now Position Overview Role: Behavior Intervention Specialist Location: Anoka, Minnesota Full-time (37.5 paid hours per work) Hours: Hours would vary slightly but 8:30-4:10 typically The BIS will work with an additional BIS and SpEd Administrator Support 4 Elementary Schools Consult and implement positive behavior interventions and supports for the students Conduct functional behavior assessments Support the development and implementation of IEPs in accordance with district practice and state and federal requirements Use flexible thinking and adaptability to address student needs and responds calmly during crisis situations, when necessary May be required to use restrictive procedures Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field Valid Minnesota teaching license in a Special Education field (Tier 3 or 4 required) BCBAs will also be considered for this position Background check and drug screening required Experience teaching school-aged children with disabilities Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills Compensation & Benefits Rates: $40-50/hour W-2 employment Paid sick leave Healthcare benefits* (medical, dental, vision) 401(k) matching Licensure, CEU, and professional development reimbursement Mileage reimbursement (IRS rate) Professional and general liability insurance Referral bonuses No non-compete clauses Paid volunteer time (up to 5 hours) and donation matching* *Benefits for 0.8 FTE and higher.
