Primary Purpose Leads the Fresh Operations team responsible for partnering with Fresh Sourcing Leadership to drive initiatives and support processes impacting multiple Fresh Departments. This includes (1) designing & facilitating an organized and collaborative Spot Buy process, (2) driving data-rich discovery efforts, (3) leading functional training preparation and delivery, & (4) supporting Fresh assortment and spec harmonization efforts. Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Duties and Responsibilities Lead a team responsible for developing robust ways of working among Fresh Category, Suppliers, and Fresh Sourcing to facilitate Spot Buys across all ADUSA brands and leverage size and scale to optimize costs Lead a team responsibe for supporting Fresh assortment and spec harmonization efforts Accountable to lead and develop sourcing teams; that build consensus and drive discussions at the brand leadership level and above. Build the capabilities of Sourcing through effective execution of team talents & strategies. Reinforces the sense of purpose within the team and actively engages in ongoing conversations to connect individual and team purpose across functions. Examples: Hires, trains, & develops Fresh Operations team members Qualifications  8+ years of related Sourcing, Negotiating, Category, & vendor management experience (preferred). 2+ years demonstrated success leading people/teams (preferred) Fluency with both financial acumen (P&L management), & understanding & interpreting commodity markets. Demonstrated success with educating others on these topics. Successful track record of independently influencing others without authority. Independent interaction and leadership with senior leadership levels across the organization. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Master's degree preferred Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated facilitation skills over multiple media types (video conferences, TEAMS, Skype, conference calls, in-person meetings, etc.) with varying size groups (typically 5-25) Mastery of Microsoft suite, Strong communication & presentation skills (verbal and written), Ability to interpret and react to syndicated data reports (e.g. IRI, etc.), Strong analytical and problem solving skills Conflict management skills & general knowledge of industry and suppliers
