Position Summary
Responsible for understanding and enforcing NCAA and MAC eligibility rules and regulations. This position requires that if the employee is found to be in deliberate or serious violation of NCAA rules or regulations they will be subject to disciplinary or corrective action up to and including termination. Works to improve business processes and data accuracy to maintain compliance with university, state, federal, and other regulatory groups. Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to internal and external systems used by the Registrar's Office. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Two years progressive experience in a student service area.
Ability to make decisions that require a significant degree of autonomy.
Experience working with a student information system.
Intermediate level knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to schedule, coordinate and supervise special projects involving staff within the Registrar's Office and across the University utilizing various resources.
Strong attention to detail.

Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for determining the athletic eligibility of all student athletes, including student athlete degree audits, maintenance of the student athlete database, production of eligibility rosters, retrieving information from the NCAA Clearinghouse database, and producing NCAA required reports, e.g. NCAA Graduation Rates report and student athlete section of the IPEDS report.
Acts as liaison between the Registrar's Office and the Athletic Department.
Maintains relevancy in NCAA compliance regulations relating to Division I intercollegiate participation and MAC regulations.
Manages student athlete registration holds and course registration activities.
Collaborates with service units to provide support of unique student populations requiring specialized billing, registration, or other metrics within student system.
Creates and maintains semester and yearly calendars and tables in applicable systems.
Identifies and analyzes systematic problems, proposes solutions, and provides training to address issues.
Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops and implements corrective action plans to manage and mitigate risk and improve compliance practices.
Manages and works with technical staff to update workflows related to registrar related activities.
Manages securities for registrar related access to systems.
Provides recommendations for organizational changes and business processes.
Provides SAP/SLCM training to various parties upon request.
Reviews and audits completed work in registrar units to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to SAP/SLCM and associated internal and external systems.
Works with OIT to test new technologies or enhancements.
Proposes solutions to problems of a sensitive nature both orally and in writing.
Assists in the development, revision, and implementation of academic and administrative policies.
