Conduct regular patrols, monitor surveillance systems, and respond to incidents and emergencies. Role is crucial in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.Experience1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, fire, military, safety, EMS or customer servicePreferred QualificationsAssociate’s degreeGeorgia Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) certificationExperience with the use of non-lethal weaponsHealthcare experience strongly preferredEducationHigh school diploma or equivalentMASADA defensive tactical training within 9 months of employmentCertification SummaryValid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving recordMarcus Crisis Prevention Program (MCPP) within 6 months of employmentInternational Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) basic certification within 6 months of employmentHeartsaver or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 3 months of employmentKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency in security technology, including surveillance systems, access control, and emergency managementAbility to write complete, accurate, and concise incident reportsAbility to function independently of constant supervisionSound judgement and confidentiality in handling of sensitive informationAdvanced problem-solving and crisis management capabilitiesAttention to detail and organizationAbility to remain calm and composed under stressEmpathic listeningHigh alertness and keen observation skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Word and use of computer systemsAbility to drive and operate Children’s vehiclesJob ResponsibilitiesResponsible for operating and driving Children’s vehicles throughout the organization as needed and to specified vendors or sites based on operational needs.Patrol DutiesPatrol assigned locations on foot or in a vehicle.Check and report irregularities related to security & safety, policy compliance, parking concerns, and other relevant issues.Order, Maintenance, and EnforcementPreserve order and enforce organizational regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, patients, and premises.Incident ManagementProtect evidence or the scene of incidents during accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.Act as the first responder to incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, security threats, disaster, and other emergencies.Crisis ResponseRespond to and intervene in high stress situations such as assistance calls from officers/medical staff, patient elopements, physical assaults, behavioral health de-escalations, and abductions.CollaborationAssist various departments and agencies including the Division of Family and Children Services, Risk Management, Safety, Nursing, Administration, law enforcement to ensure that the best outcome for the safety of patients, staff, visitors, and property.Incident Investigation and ReportingInvestigate incidents reported.Write accurate, clear, and concise incident reports that record the entire investigation to include photographs and timelines.Conduct subject interviews and record statements accurately.As essential function of the job, must be able to successfully pass an annual physical assessmentRun/walk 1320 feet (1 lap around track equivalent) in 4 minutesPick up 50lb from squat positionPush/pull 100lbs for 60 feetClimb 8 flights (4 floors) of stairs while carrying a fire extinguisher in 90 secondsKneel/squat for 30 seconds consecutivelyPrimary Location Address1575 Northeast Expy NEJob FamilySecurity
