Overview The successful candidate will have the responsibility to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance and associated safety protocols.  As a part of our team, you will ensure the smooth operation of all electrical systems, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe working environment. Functions and responsibilities Install and perform preventive maintenance/repairs on electrical systems such as transformers, switchgear, HVAC electrical components, and power distribution panels up to 480 Volt AC and 1550 Volt DC. Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in systems including lighting, climate control, and       security, identifying faults and implementing corrective actions. Conduct regular inspections to identify issues like wear, corrosion, or malfunction, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Install and replace electrical components, including wiring, circuit breakers, and panels, following blueprints, schematics, and applicable codes. Utilize test equipment to diagnose issues and verify system performance, ensuring reliability and compliance with operational needs. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and safety standards, maintaining accurate documentation for audits and inspections. Assist with troubleshooting and repair of automation and control systems, such as energy management systems, fire alarms, communication systems and security equipment. Support the development and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules to improve performance and reduce downtime. Respond quickly to emergency electrical issues, providing efficient solutions to minimize operational disruptions. Recommend upgrades or replacements to enhance safety, energy efficiency, and overall system effectiveness. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager Training/eduction required High school diploma or equivalent Technical certification or vocational training in electrical maintenance or a related field preferred. Two or more years of related experience as an electrical maintenance technician, electrician, or similar role. Qualifications Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, insulation resistance testers, etc. Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to document work performed accurately.
