Job Description This is a remote position.Position: Sr. Software Engineer Location: Dallas/Fort Worth, TX (Remote-friendly within DFW area) Company: Symbiotic Services About the RoleSymbiotic Services is actively recruiting a seasoned Sr. Software Engineer for a key position supporting enterprise-scale systems for a major U.S. airline. In this role, you will: Lead design, development, and implementation of complex cloud-based and operational software systems. Define technical strategies and drive high-quality code development. Serve as a mentor to junior engineers and act as a technical lead across projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business needs and deliver scalable solutions. Maintain clean, well-documented code and enforce best practices in architecture and security. Key Responsibilities Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications. Develop and maintain robust backend systems and APIs. Drive cloud-native development using modern serverless or containerized architectures. Participate in design reviews and ensure solutions align with engineering standards. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and practices for continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience in backend development using languages like Node.js, Java, or C#. Familiarity with cloud services (AWS preferred) and DevOps practices. Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to mentor and collaborate across teams. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Preferred Skills Knowledge of asynchronous processing, event-driven systems, or real-time data pipelines. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and API management tools. Passion for clean code, automation, and scalable design. Additional Information Must be authorized to work in the United States. Some travel to the DFW area may be required for collaboration or meetings.
