In this role you will have opportunity to touch almost all areas of Linux kernel (not just virtualization) and VMMs (primarily QEMU), interact closely with our hardware and software partners, be on the bleeding edge of modern server technology and, most importantly, work with smartest people in the business, both at Oracle and in the industry as a whole. Almost everything you do will end up upstream. This team has been main contributing organization for Linux kernel and QEMU at Oracle over the past 10 years, upstream work is a major part of what we do. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
