Founded in 1925, Volkert is celebrating a century of serving our employees, clients, partners, and communities. We are currently searching for an experienced CAD Designer to support our design of natural gas pipeline projects located in Atlanta, GA. What you’ll be doing:Contribute to project production sheets by laying out plan, alignment, detail, and other sheets as necessaryUse various methodologies and/or techniques to accurately label and add notation to sheetsPrepare minor mathematical calculations and quantity calculations for pipeline/linear alignment projectsResearch applicable design codes and guidelines to ensure design complianceResearch design options and documents findingsWork directly with engineers to understand project goals and scopesCoordinates assignments with project team and supervisorPerform quality control reviews of design plans and calculationsPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorWork remotely across the company’s footprint of officesAssist adjacent groups remotely on an as needed basisWhat you need to have:Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D is a requirement, include years of experience associated and a reference contact for quality of work confirmation.Must have natural gas pipeline experienceSafety orientedAssociate degree from a technical or four-year schoolAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana.
