Position Summary The Community and Continuing Education (CCE) program is a growing, self-supportive department that develops and delivers a broad range of personal enrichment and professional development programming focusing on the needs, interests, talents and lifelong learning goals for individuals in the community. Applications are being accepted to create a pool of qualified applicants to fill possible future Community & Continuing Education (CCE) credit courses within the Pierce College District. See Terms of Employment below for salary information. Essential Functions Develop and teach course(s) as assigned. Conduct assigned courses in a manner that promotes student success and incorporates various teaching styles and technology. Work effectively with colleagues and students of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Qualifications Meet professional/technical qualifications from an accredited institution in fields where they are readily available: a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and professional experience in the discipline field. Subject matter experience or expertise. Experience teaching groups of adult learners in a community or college classroom setting. Preferred: professional certification in the field. Application Process Terms of Employment: Salary for credit class instruction is current hourly rate or by contractual agreement. Credit class instruction is a part of the bargaining unit, providing eligibility in the accrual of sick leave and participation of other benefits.
