Job Title:Lecturer (SEM)Department:Arts and Sciences | Physics AdministrationLecturer Department of PhysicsCollege of Arts and SciencesPosition OverviewThe Department of Physics seeks a Lecturer to 4 recitation/lab sections in Physics 1200, 1201, 1250 or 1251 in Spring 2026. In addition to teaching, the Lecturer prepares syllabi and course materials for assigned courses, holds office hours, grades assignments and submits grades by deadlines, and communicates regularly with students. Performance ObjectivesPlanning and organizing instruction in ways which maximize student learningMeeting scheduled classes and office hours in accordance with university policyEnsuring curriculum implementation and course preparation in accordance with department standardsPreparing homework and exams, evaluating, and returning student work in a timely manner to promote learningMaintaining accurate records of students’ progress and submitting final grade roster in accordance with established university deadlinesMaintaining confidentiality of student information in accordance with FERPAEducation and Experience Requirements: Master’s Degree in physics or related area and previous experience teaching university-level introductory Physics courses.
