EHS SpecialistAs the EHS Specialist, you are responsible for administering an effective EHS program and for reporting on matters concerning accidents involving property damage, serious injuries and the findings pertaining to equipment accidents, incidents and near misses.Location: Middleburg Heights, OH (onsite)Salary: $65,000 - $80,000Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in Ohio. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.We Take Care of Our PeoplePaid Time Off I 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing I Health and Wellness Benefits I Learning and Development Opportunities I Referral Program I Competitive Pay I Recognition I I Your Challenge:Oversees the development, planning, and implementation of environmental, health and safety policies; develops procedures (chemical safety, ergonomics, illness and injury prevention, and building safety) used throughout the company.Develops and oversees company training programs for employees in areas such as compliance training, lab/plant inspection, hazardous material handling, emergency response, industrial hygiene, and life safety.May be the point of contact for emergency personnel and manage workers compensation program administration.Oversees licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal and monitors waste handling.Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.What You Bring:2-4 years of relevant EHS experienceMachining experience required, with the ability to support safety practices in a production or shop-floor environmentCSP, ASP, or GSP certification preferredDemonstrated knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulationsWho We Are:Curtiss-Wright's Nuclear Division offers a comprehensive range of products, information systems, and services that help sustain the safe and reliable operation of nuclear, conventional, and renewable power plants throughout the world.
