Senior AccountantLong Island, NY100 – 120KFull-Time, Onsite (M–Th 9–5:30, Fri 9–1, summer Fri 9–2) Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join a fast-growing outsourced CFO and bookkeeping firm. This role combines client-facing responsibilities with team oversight, ensuring accurate financial reporting and high-quality service delivery. The Senior Accountant will manage client accounts, lead in-office and offshore staff, and provide analytical insights to help clients achieve their business goals.The Ideal CandidateCPA (preferred) or strong equivalent backgroundAnalytical thinker with the ability to interpret and advise on financial dataStrong organizational skills to manage multiple client portfoliosPersonable, professional, and able to build trusted client relationshipsCreative problem-solver who brings new ideas to improve processesKey ResponsibilitiesOversee client portfolios, serving as the primary accounting leadManage daily accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, and reconciliationsPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsLead and mentor a team of 2+ accountants (in-office and offshore)Coordinate with auditors, tax professionals, and client stakeholdersImplement accounting policies and internal controls for efficiency and accuracyContribute ideas and best practices to enhance client service deliveryQualifications & Must-HavesBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred5+ years progressive accounting experience, including supervisory exposureProven experience handling multiple clients/accounts simultaneouslyProficiency with accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)Strong communication skills, able to explain financial concepts clearlyAnalytical mindset, detail-oriented, and highly organizedBenefits401(k), health, dental, vision, FSA/HSA optionsPaid time offProfessional growth opportunities in a collaborative, warm environment  Email your resume to: Nechi@maiplacement.com
