Overview Watersound Club is actively looking to fill the role of an "Assistant Golf Professional". This role is a great opportunity for an assistant to become well rounded and prepare for the next step of his/her career. Watersound Club has a proven track record to recruit top talent and preparing each professional for their future endeavors. The Assistant Professional would assist the Head Golf Professional in the management of golf operations, including the Pro Shop, golf cart rentals, practice facilities, and assist the golf staff in providing members and guests of the Golf Club with an incomparable golf experience while abiding by all company and departmental policies and procedures. Work involves independent decisions requiring technical knowledge, sound judgment and familiarity with the golf industry standards. Essential Responsibilities Minimum of two (2) years working in golf industry/private golf club experience preferred GolfGenius experience Basic knowledge of: daily golf course operations, USGA rules, handicap, course rating system, mechanics and techniques of golf swing, and general game of golf  Class A PGA Membership or currently enrolled as an associate of the PGA of America Must have passed the player ability test for the PGA program and advanced skill in playing golf Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal College degree preferred Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively Must be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment Ability to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Report to work at the scheduled time and neatly groomed  Benefits PGA Dues PGA School Reimbursement Health Insurance per company policy  Playing and practice privileges Vacation per company policy Clothing allowance or uniform 5 day work week for most weeks Lunch provided while working
