Job Title: Thrift Store Sales ClerkEmployment Type: Full-Time / Part-TimeLocation: Portland, OR - St. Johns/Linnton Area About Us:We are a community-focused thrift store dedicated to providing quality secondhand goods at affordable prices. We value friendly service, sustainability, and creating a positive shopping experience for every customer.Position Summary:The Thrift Store Sales Clerk is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store, processing donations, stocking merchandise, and assisting with sales transactions. This role is ideal for someone friendly, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.Key Responsibilities:Greet customers, provide assistance, and deliver exceptional customer serviceProcess and record sales Sort, clean, price, and prepare items for displayStock shelves, racks, and displays while ensuring merchandise is organized and visually appealingAssist with receiving, unloading, and organizing donationsMaintain cleanliness of the sales floor and backroom areasFollow store policies, safety guidelines, and inventory proceduresHelp identify valuable or unique items and ensure accurate pricingSupport field team members and contribute to a positive work environmentQualifications:Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, but not requiredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periodsAttention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a teamPositive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learnBasic math skills and comfort using a POS systemSchedule & Compensation:Primarily looking for full time employment. Weekends available as well. Striving for 6-7 days a week to be open so there are options here. Hourly pay starting at $17/HrEmployee discount and opportunities for bonus's when we exceed sales targets.
