Job Description – Pharmacy Data Entry TechnicianPharmacy operations require timely and precise data entry to maintain workflow efficiency. This role plays a critical part in reducing bottlenecks in prescription processing and supports pharmacists by allowing them to focus on clinical responsibilities.The Pharmacy Data Entry Technician is responsible for the accurate entry and processing of medication orders within the pharmacy operating system, including but not limited to:Entering and processing medication orders, reorder requests, and customer-configured fulfillment ordersTriaging and sorting incoming medication orders according to delivery deadlinesProcessing all new medication orders in alignment with delivery timelines, including controlled substances, leave of absence orders, and specialty requestsEnsuring all tasks and duties are completed in compliance with HIPAA guidelines, State and Federal regulations, and current company policies and proceduresMaintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environmentJob QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMust be a registered Pharmacy Technician in the applicable state (Indiana)Previous data entry experience requiredLong-Term Care pharmacy experience preferredWorking knowledge of Brand and Generic medications and SIG codes requiredExperience with Framework or Docutrack is a plusModerate to advanced computer and typing skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsBasic math skills requiredAdditional DetailsPay Rate: $19–$20 per hour, depending on experienceWork Location: PharmScript Indiana – 6825 Hillsdale Court, Indianapolis, INWork Hours: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM ET, with alternating weekendsProfessional License/Certification: Indiana Board of Pharmacy Pharmacy Technician registration required; PTCB or equivalent certification preferred but not requiredDress Code: Business / smart casualInterview Process: 1–2 rounds, virtual
