University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds. We are currently seeking qualified professionals with active/clear license in the state of Florida. Previous experience in a psychiatric facility or rehabilitation program is required.
The Milieu Supervisor performs supervisory functions and direct patient care duties in a behavioral health setting. The Milieu Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of the Mental Health Technicians ensuring that direct care and unit tasks are being performed according to facility policy. The Milieu Supervisor assists the patient in treatment, recreation, and other activities of daily living to assess changes in their social behaviors and clinical status. Supervisory functions include but are not limited to: Ensuring the program schedule is being followed, assignment of unit tasks, and ensuring facility policies are enforced. Consistently communications with the Registered Nurses on shift, Nursing Supervisors, and Director of Nursing. The Milieu Supervisor handles all MHT call offs and schedules replacement with Per Diems or Fulltime staff; and has the authority to adjust staffing as necessary. The Milieu Supervisor will help coordinate all medical codes, whether real or mock, and ensure they are carried out appropriately and safely. The Milieu Supervisor notifies the CEO, AOC of facility updates or specific Director of any urgent facility issues (i.e., kitchen or reception staff call offs/no shows). The Milieu Supervisor may be in ratio as needed.

QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree
Licensure/Certification: Handle with Care and CPR Experience: Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role (1-3 years)
