Job Details Description The TIG Welder works in the Fabrication A job assignment to support fabrication activities to ensure timely support of the manufacturing process in a safe and respectful manner. Produces parts and operates machines per supervisor direction, Manufacturing Work Instruction and or Job Instruction Breakdown. Specific tasks may vary for different work assignments. Responsibilities: TIG welding and finishing of stainless steel and other materials Select proper software program to run specific parts on the machines and make software modifications as necessary Complete set up tasks to prepare for shift such as getting proper fixtures, etc. Visually inspect and measure parts for accuracy and defects Preventative maintenance tasks Train employees on procedures and techniques Assist in defining work instructions Housekeeping and workstation organization tasks Other duties as assigned Shift Hours:  2nd shift is at or around 2:00pm - 10:00pm (M-F) 3rd shift is at or around 10:00pm - 6:00am (S-Th) This position requires a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check, which will be administered after a conditional job offer is extended. A negative drug/alcohol test result is required for employment. Refusal to take the test or a positive result may disqualify a candidate from further consideration. All drug testing will be conducted in accordance with federal and state laws. This is a continuous opening and applications will be reviewed periodically.  Qualifications Skills Behaviors : Motivations : Education Experience Required Demonstrated TIG Welding experience Must have good numerical abilities Must be able to read and understand blueprints Familiarity with small hand tools and measuring devices Physical Abilities: oAbility to lift up to 40lbs o Ability to perform body movements including reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, turning, bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, and fine manipulation o Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day o Ability to visually inspect details to spot defects Ability to adhere to strict attendance standards Computer skills Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment Ability to work both in a team environment and independently Has strong attention to detail and desire for precision and accuracy to uphold quality standards Preferred Prior experience with fabrication and or machine operation in a manufacturing setting Licenses & Certifications Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
