This role focuses on building conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and problem-solving skills through intentional instruction, structured practice, and meaningful application. The ideal candidate brings strong content knowledge, experience supporting diverse learners, and a commitment to using data and instructional tools to close learning gaps while building student confidence in math. Primary Responsibilities Instructional Planning and Delivery Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned math lessons that meet grade-level expectations and address learning gaps. Use structured lesson design that includes direct instruction, guided practice, independent practice, and small-group support. Incorporate instructional technology and approved digital resources to strengthen skill development and engagement. Differentiate instruction to meet varied academic needs, including scaffolds, extensions, and targeted supports. Maintain high expectations while building student confidence and persistence in mathematical thinking. Data-Informed Instruction Administer and analyze formative and summative assessments to monitor mastery of standards. Use assessment data to plan reteaching, corrective instruction, and small-group interventions. Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to review trends and refine instructional strategies. Maintain accurate records of student progress using school-approved systems. Communicate academic progress with families and school leadership in a timely, professional manner. Classroom Management and Culture Establish clear routines, expectations, and procedures that support focused learning. Implement behavior supports aligned with ScholarMade’s culture model and emotional intelligence framework. Build strong relationships with students that support accountability and academic effort.
