Tool and Die Maker

Primary PurposeIdentifies Maintain, assemble and rework shell, lane and tab die tooling. (Pay starts at $36 per hour. Night Shift) Key Accountabilities:Identifies problems in a timely mannerWorks well in a team environmentExhibits the ability to learn and apply new skillsOperate a surface grinder, lathe, polishing wheel, drill press, hand tools and millAssemble, clean and adjust intricate die set assembliesDetermine tooling rework needs and prioritize work accordinglyRework/rebuild tab feedersRework/rebuild tab and lane diesIndicate tooling stack heights and set-up dies to print specificationsIndicate tooling/dies for proper alignmentRead and understand engineering drawingsAbility to machine process equipment parts to printAbility to use and read depth micrometer’s, dial indicators, height gauges, callipers and micrometer’s.Ability to self-manage workloads and standard assigned Duties.Ability to make decisions when troubleshooting material defects from potential compromised tooling.Utilize different extraction methods for broken tooling, bolts and other defective/damaged components from process equipment in production area. These statements reflect the general details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job identified and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the job.  Some of the work requirements which are common to all jobs are housekeeping, meeting productions and quality levels, relief of others for brief periods, safety considerations and participation in teams and at meetings.  All of these common elements have been included in the evaluated level of the job. Knowledge/Skills/Experience:Familiar with Personal Protective EquipmentExperience working in an industrial environmentJourneyman machinist or tool & die maker preferredRead precision measuring devices such as but not limited to micrometers, dial indicators, depth micsHigh School Diploma or GED required  Key Job Competencies/Physical Demands:Willingness to work night shiftAbility and willingness to work overtimeFine motor sills, reaching, twisting, grip, bend, reach, lift, visual & mental acuityAble to lift up to 100 pounds and frequently lift/carry 50 poundsUse various hand toolsStrict attention to precise outcomesAbility to multi-taskExposure to heat, vibrations and loud noise  #IND1  About Ardagh Metal Packaging Ardagh Metal Packaging (AMP) is a leading supplier of sustainable, infinitely recyclable metal beverage cans to brand owners globally.
