As an SLP, you will be responsible for delivering speech therapy sessions, conducting evaluations, assisting with IEP development, and ensuring that all progress is tracked accurately. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group speech-language therapy in accordance with students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Conduct evaluations for students during initial intake and annual reviews.
  • Arrange on-site visits to assigned schools to deliver therapy sessions and collect data relevant to student progress.
  • Maintain weekly logs of therapy sessions and progress towards IEP goals.
  • Assist with the development of IEPs and progress reports, including attending Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings.
  • Collaborate with district staff to ensure effective speech and language services are provided.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with students who have IEPs.
  • Strong understanding of the principles and practices of speech-language therapy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience working in school settings preferred.
Job Requirements:
  • On-site presence at schools within the designated area (Spring Valley, NY).
  • Ability to collect data and monitor the progress of students.
  • Reliable transportation to travel as needed.
