Position Summary
The Critical Reagent Replacement/Regeneration Specialist is responsible for managing the replacement and regeneration of critical reagents used in the quality control laboratory. This role ensures that all reagents are available, properly regenerated, and maintained to support the testing and release of products. The specialist will work closely with the quality control team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
Hours: 1st shift
Position Responsibilities
- Reagent Replacement: Oversee the replacement of critical reagents, ensuring timely procurement and availability.
- Reagent Regeneration: Actively involved in regeneration processes for routine reagents, ensuring they meet required specifications and standards.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality checks on regenerated reagents to ensure they meet required specifications and standards.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of reagent replacement and regeneration processes, including lot numbers, certificates of analysis, and usage logs.
- Regulatory Communications: Author and submit reagent replacement/regeneration protocols, data, and reports to be reviewed by regulatory agencies for approval.
- Implementation: Manage the implementation of newly approved reagents using Change Control system to manage updates to regulatory filings, internal documents, and impacted quality systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal quality control procedures.
- Training: Provide training to laboratory staff on proper reagent handling, replacement, and regeneration procedures.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in quality control or reagent management.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of laboratory practices and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with reagent regeneration processes.
- Experience with biological reagents and quality control processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for laboratory reagents.
- Certification in inventory management or related field.
Working Conditions:
- Laboratory environment with exposure to biological and chemical materials.
- Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to lift and move reagent containers.
- Prolonged periods of standing and working at a laboratory bench.
