Estimator - Virtual Design & Construction (VDC)

Description Position:EstimatorReports to:Senior VDC ManagerLocation:Victaulic Global Headquarters, Easton, PAThe Estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates for Fabrication & Drawing projects for construction as required by customer’s documents, along with other internal and external support requests.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Preparation/evaluation of: BIM Fabrication packages,Material & Labor comparisons, Joint count conversions, Engineering model conversions,Material Take-Offs (MTO) as requiredCommunicate estimate and scope of work to Sales staffDetermine scope coverage and manage risk of scope gaps to Sales and CustomerCoordination of projects with work center(s)/sales/customers to ensure project schedule milestones and deliverables are met.Quality Control functions in-line with current department standards.Utilize, review, and enforce the VDC division procedures and policies. Suggest updates as needed.Coordination, scheduling, and assignment of incoming Sales support requests.Assist Sales with presentation of VDC package quotes (as required).Assist in the training of others in the department.Assist other VDC departments (as required).QualificationsGED diploma, Two-year Associates Degree, and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related to Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.Proven written and verbal communication abilitiesDemonstrated leadership and interpersonal skillsExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, & Navisworks software preferred.Knowledge of interpretating piping specification and mechanical piping drawingsKnowledge of estimating software: Onscreen Take-off, AutoBid Est-MECH, QuoteSoft, etc.LANGUAGE:English#LI-KP1
