As a member of our dedicated team, you will be responsible for facilitating improvement in the overall quality through completeness and accuracy of clinical documentation. You will strive to ensure comprehensive medical record documentation that reflects the clinical treatment, decisions, and diagnosis for all inpatients while serving as a resource to all members of the healthcare team on documentation guidelines. In this position, you will provide guidance and support, as well as assist with education and training related to improving clinical documentation. QualificationsRequired Skills• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.• Works independently with proven organizational skills and attention to detail• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Position Requirements: Associates’ degree required Bachelors’ degree preferred State of Michigan Registered Nurse licensure, RHIA, RHIT or combination of thereof preferred Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred Annual influenza vaccination or declination required Position Details: .9 FTE (36 hours per week) Day shift, weekdays onlyJobHealth Information Management/CodingPrimary LocationMichigan-HancockScheduleFull-timeWork ScheduleDay shift, 10+ hr/shift, weekdays only
