Family Law Associate Attorney

OverviewA well-respected law firm with a strong family law practice is seeking a Family Law Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join its growing team in Springfield, MO. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys direct client interaction, managing cases from inception through resolution, and working in a collaborative, supportive environment. While the role is primarily focused on family law, the firm offers the opportunity to gain experience in additional practice areas based on interest and firm needs. The team places a strong emphasis on mentorship, professional growth, and long-term development.Responsibilities Handle a full range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, spousal support, and post-decree modificationsManage cases independently from intake through settlement or trialDraft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreementsRepresent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiationsAssist with matters in other practice areas as needed or based on attorney interestProvide thoughtful, compassionate counsel to clients during sensitive mattersCollaborate with partners and staff to ensure high-quality client service Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law schoolActive license and in good standing in Missouri3–5 years of legal experience, with a strong background in family law preferredInterest in practicing primarily family law with openness to additional practice areasStrong litigation, negotiation, and legal writing skillsAbility to manage a caseload independently and efficientlyProfessional, client-focused demeanor with excellent communication skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experienceBonus opportunitiesHealth insurance and benefits packagePTO and paid holidaysOngoing mentorship and training from experienced attorneys Career GrowthThis role offers a clear path for advancement, including the potential for a future partnership track for attorneys who demonstrate strong performance, versatility, client development, and commitment to the firm’s values.
