Job#: 3011371 Job Description: Lab Technician General ResponsibilitiesLog samples, process tests, and record results in LIMS.Prepare supplies and maintain a clean, organized lab.Collaborate with team members to complete interdependent tasks.Specialized ResponsibilitiesProcess corrosion coupon samples (50,000+ annually), including cleaning, corrosion type identification, pit depth measurement, and report authorization.Perform filtration, milling, solvent extractions, and solubility studies; operate and maintain accelerated solvent extractor (ASE).Process solid deposits using gravimetric techniques; operate GC and ASE instruments; handle organic solvents.What We’re Looking ForEducation: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science or related field.Experience: Previous work in a chemical or analytical laboratory preferred.Skills: Strong attention to detail and adherence to SOPs.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced with occasional independent chemical and analytical technique knowledge.Work EnvironmentChemical laboratory setting with concentrated acids and organic solvents.Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
