Host/Hostess Full-time or part time available Part-time.Job DescriptionHost/HostessThe Pirates' House is looking for a Host or Hostess to join the team and be the first point of contact for the guests. Host/Hostess responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure the guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure.Ultimately, you’ll ensure The Pirates' House provides excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to the guests.Responsibilities:Greet GuestsProvide accurate wait times and monitor waiting listsManage reservationsEscort customers to assigned dining or bar areasProvide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress’s nameGreet customers upon their departureCoordinate with wait staff about available seating optionsAnswer incoming calls and address customers’ queriesAssist wait staff as neededRequirements:Previous work experience as a Host/HostessUnderstanding of restaurant etiquetteFamiliarity with health and safety regulationsExperience in managing reservationsExcellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)Availability to work in shifts as neededGood physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shiftJob Types: Full-time, Part-timeSchedule: Must be available for all holidays, we only close on Christmas day. We are open Monday to Sunday for Lunch and DinnerCOVID-19 considerations:Masks, gloves and hand sanitizer will be provided.We are a locally-owned independent restaurant group with two restaurants in Savannah, Georgia.Each restaurant is a different concept/menu/ambiance, but both offer great food and fabulous serviceThe Cotton Exchange TavernThe Pirates' House Restaurant
