Type:Direct HireFull Time or Part Time:Full-Time Pay Rate:$41.00- $51.00 per hourLocation:Orlando, FLLanguage Requirements:Write, read, and speak EnglishLanguage Preferences:NoneJob Overview:We are seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer who will play a key role in managing geotechnical engineering projects ranging from private developments to roadway improvements. This position involves planning and overseeing field investigations, performing geotechnical analyses, developing reports and proposals, and ensuring project quality under the guidance of a Senior Engineer. The ideal candidate is technically strong, organized, and eager to grow in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and perform other duties as assigned. Experience Requirements:A minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or a related civil engineering disciplineExperience preparing geotechnical reports, performing soil classification, and conducting field investigationsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesExperience with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects or similar public infrastructure workFamiliarity with AutoCAD, gINT, or GeoStudio softwareExperience managing subsurface exploration programs and coordinating field crewsEngineer Intern (EI) certification required or ability to obtain within 6 monthsStrong technical writing and communication skillsDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilityPositive, professional attitude with an interest in continued learning and growthExperience Preferences:Professional Engineer (PE) license in FloridaPhysical Requirements:Ability to perform field work including site reconnaissance, hand auger borings, and soil samplingMust be able to lift up to 40–50 poundsComfortable working in outdoor environments (heat, uneven terrain, wooded or wet areas)Education Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related fieldEducation Preferences:Master’s Degree in Geotechnical EngineeringTraining Schedule:TBDSchedule:Monday- Friday 7:30 am-4:30pmOccasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on project schedulesDress Code:N/ABenefits:401KMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsurancePTOHolidaysAdditional Information:Drug screening, background and reference checks are performed if required.
