POSITION DESCRIPTION The Thrift Store Donation Attendant receives all donations in an expedient, courteous manner and place items in the appropriate locations such as the production room or sales floor. . ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Demonstrates sales floor awareness and provides customer service, merchandising, etc. • Provides assistance within the area of responsibility with problem identification, assessment, and makes recommendations for improvement. • Demonstrates teamwork and cooperation through positive and supportive communication regarding operational changes, goals, policies, and procedures. • Participates in a variety of meetings and other special projects as requested. • Supports a clean, sanitary, and orderly work environment. • Maintains and ensures compliance with established thrift store policies and procedures. • Helps with donations, pricing, loading and unloading, sorting as needed. Additional Responsibilities:  •Supports and mirrors the culture, mission, values, and core beliefs of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. •May occasionally travel with Thrift Store personnel to assist with donation pick-ups. •Adheres to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale’s policies and procedures. •Promotes an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces diversity. •Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Required: •Must be at least 18 years old. •Ability to multitask and adapt to Thrift Store’s changing needs. •Ability to pass all BGCGS training classes. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Excellent Customer Services skills. •Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and be comfortable adapting to new technology. •If 21 or older, maintains a valid driver’s license and meets eligibility requirements to drive Club vehicles. •Flawless ethics and integrity. •Safety oriented mindset. Recommended: •High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent. •Previous customer service experience.
