Essential Duties and Responsibilities The person in this position plans, directs, and coordinates the work of survey staff, engaged in surveying earth's surface and preparing reports and legal descriptions of land by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. A supervisory classification would be warranted for staff with experience and capability to oversee office and field operations as required to oversee and coordinate staff toward the production of survey deliverables, such as mapping and mapping review tasks, field observations, and coordination with other surveyors of record. Act as City Surveyor. Work would include: Subdivision Map Checking Lot Line AdjustmentMergersEasement checking Preparation of easement legal descriptions and plats Ability to respond to questions and recommend appropriate administration of the Surveyors Map ActCoordinate field crews (sub-contracted).Work with various divisions (engineers and architects) within Willdan to provide necessary services, such as boundary and topo, aerial photogrammetry, preparation of legal descriptions and plat maps, coordination of appraisal and acquisition services. Legal work - Provide law firms, title companies, and cities technical expertise in the review of defective title, reformation of deeds, expert witness.Providing technical guidance and support to surveying staff.Monitoring project budgets and timelines to ensure efficiency and profitability.Ensuring the quality and accuracy of survey data and deliverables.Oversees office survey staff.
