Key Responsibilities Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of metrology equipment and instrumentation. Conduct precise measurements and inspections of manufactured parts, components, and assemblies. Analyze measurement data, identify deviations, and generate detailed inspection reports. Develop and implement measurement programs for CMMs and other automated inspection systems. Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and provide technical support to production and engineering teams. Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures. Assist in the evaluation and selection of new metrology equipment and measurement techniques. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in operating and programming various metrology equipment (e.g., CMMs, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers). Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Experience performing calibration, verification, and maintenance of measurement tools and equipment. Familiarity with metrology software and data analysis tools; knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001). Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso). ASME GDTP certification (Technologist or Senior). Experience with advanced 3D metrology systems (e.g., laser trackers, structured light scanners). Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies.
