Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Campus Patrol in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the campus community, and delivering exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour Job Schedule:DayTimeMon07:00 PM - 04:00 AMTue12:00 PM - 12:00 AMWed07:00 PM - 04:00 AMWhy Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do:Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors.Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards encountered during patrols.Assist with access control and monitor entry points to help to deter unauthorized access to campus buildings and facilities.Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site procedures.Collaborate with campus personnel and local authorities as needed to support security-related operations and emergency response efforts.Minimum Requirements:At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
