Job Title: Express Advisor Location: Glenwood SpringsJob Category: ServiceLevel/Salary Range: $50-$70k Salary + CommissionPosition Type: Full TimePosition SummaryThe Express Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact for customers utilizing the dealership's express or quick service lane. This role is responsible for greeting customers, writing repair orders for routine maintenance services, communicating service recommendations, coordinating workflow with technicians, and ensuring a positive, efficient customer experience. The Express Advisor plays a critical role in customer retention, service department productivity, and dealership profitability.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival in the express service laneConduct a preliminary vehicle walk-around and verify customer concerns and service needsWrite and process repair orders for express services such as oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, filters, batteries, and minor maintenanceAccurately explain recommended services, pricing, and time estimates to customersUpsell maintenance services based on manufacturer recommendations and vehicle conditionCommunicate effectively with express technicians regarding work scope and priorityMonitor repair order status and keep customers informed of service progress and delaysReview completed work with customers, explain services performed, and answer questionsCollect payment and ensure repair orders are closed accurately and timelyMaintain proper documentation in the dealership management system (DMS)Promote dealership service specials, maintenance plans, and customer retention programsAdhere to dealership policies, safety procedures, and manufacturer standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and professional work areaSupport overall service department operations as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious automotive service advisor, express advisor, or customer service experience preferredBasic automotive knowledge and understanding of routine maintenance servicesStrong customer service, communication, and sales skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customers simultaneouslyProficiency with computers and dealership management systems (or ability to learn quickly)Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to work flexible hours, including Saturdays as requiredSkills and CompetenciesCustomer-focused mindsetStrong verbal and written communicationSales and upselling aptitudeAttention to detail and accuracyTime management and organizational skillsTeam-oriented with the ability to work independentlyProblem-solving and conflict resolution skills
